About Us
The California Disabled Veteran Business Alliance formed in 1994 following the establishment of the Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise (DVBE) program by the California legislature in 1989.
The California DVBE program set a 3% goal for DVBE participation in state contracts for goods and services. It also required eligible DVBEs to obtain certification of their capabilities by the state's Department of General Services before they could participate in the program.
The CA DVBE Alliance is a 501(c)3 non-profit, EIN 94-3211918.
Our Vision
We want to become the recognized leader and champion for CA disabled veterans interested in building and expanding business opportunities and for those entities pursuing partnerships with these businesses.
Our Mission
We are an organization focused on:
- Assisting disabled veterans in obtaining DVBE certification in the State of CA.
- Providing representation for CA DVBE's and informational support to all disabled veterans as appropriate.
- Disseminating information to and providing networking opportunities for all DVBE's.
- Providing oversight and accountability of the DVBE program and legislation in the State of CA.
- Advocating for and mentoring the disabled veteran business in the State of CA.
- Supporting business entities, corporations and government agencies in their quest to develop partnerships with disabled veteran businesses.
